re:Play! AWS re:Invent’s exclusive tech-driven after-party again transformed the Las Vegas Festival Grounds into a playground of light, sound, and spectacle. Over twenty thousand attendees were treated to an unforgettable night where technological innovation met pure fun.
Once inside, attendees found no shortage of activities and interactive zones to explore – re:Play 2024 was essentially a giant playground for grown-up tech enthusiasts. For those seeking high-speed thrills, RC Racers let guests pilot POV camera-equipped remote control cars in adrenaline-fueled races, zooming around hairpin turns as spectators cheered.
Courageous party-goers could also conquer the Giantest Slide, a massive inflatable slide and obstacle course, that sent them climbing high before an exhilarating descent back to ground level. And if that wasn’t enough excitement, a full-sized Skating Rink invited up to 200 attendees at a time to lace up skates and glide under the neon lights – bringing an old-school roller rink vibe to the middle of the party.
Interactive gaming zones to show-stopping musical performances, every corner of re:Play 2024 offered something jaw-dropping. It was a cinematic experience under the desert sky, complete with dazzling lights, non-stop activities, incredible live music, and delicious bites to keep the party going into the early hours.

Fuckin giant Xs and Os. Big boys, took 3-4 people to move.
Small boys, not big, shot off like darts in the night. You’re too slow to keep up with them so we put cameras on them. Real tiny cameras. Lil eye boys.
This year, AI was at re:Play’s forefront with games and experiences we designed and created like Guess My Prompt, Digital Mirrors, and AI Soundbath; utilizing AWS’s proprietary tech to show how versatile it can be.
Guess My Prompt was a take on the classic home game Pictionary, with an added twist. Instead of drawing the image, one user had to prompt our AI backend to produce the clue they were given. The results were rarely exact but always hilarious.
Because re:Play is the milestone endcap for re:Invent, we took their branding and manipulated it in a way that retains hints of the original but makes something new and refreshing to attendees who have been seeing the same art all week.
We used AWS’s Beats by Partyrock, a proprietary AI application from AWS in the exploration and foundational phases of our design process. This resulted in a new approach to the re:Play brand in a way that showcased the strengths of our AWS partner’s products.
